Vancouver's big day for bike riders and motorcycle fans is just two weeks away.
The sixth annual Gastown Motorcycle Show 'N' Shine, Vancouver's largest free motorcycle show, is set for Aug. 15.
"The B.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists is proud to be involved in the biggest motorcycling event in Vancouver," says Adele Tompkins, Executive Director, BCCOM. "There was a tremendous response to the previous shows, and we expect this year's to be bigger and better than ever. These events serve to facilitate public awareness and a better understanding of motorcycling."
This year, the B.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists will again close down Water Street between Carrall and Richards and Gastown will once again become a "motorcycles only" zone.
More than 250 motorcycles will be on display, including choppers, cruisers, vintage bikes, sport bikes (European, Japanese, American), fat boys, softtails, rat bikes, touring bikes, sidecars, drag bikes, scooters and more.
The show will also feature displays by several of the major manufacturers, fashion shows and a live band.
