Dennis Solet is a member of a club nobody wants to join -- he's a cancer survivor.
"It's one of the fastest-growing clubs in the world," said the 61-year-old Windsor musician.
In 2004, the year he retired from teaching, Solet was diagnosed with colon cancer. He underwent successful surgery, but the cancer eventually spread to other organs forcing him to endure 25 months of chemotherapy.
Today, Solet's condition is stable, enough for him to plan a 9,000-km motorcycle ride across Canada and the U.S. to raise money and awareness.
